I have tons of cute tank tops but they aren't appropriate for wearing alone at my current job. This fixes the problem! I typically wear a size XL top or size 14W, and the size 2XL fits well. I've dried it both in the dryer and air dried it on a hanger as well. It did not shrink and does not need ironing.I LOVE the short sleeves on this. They fit well and are the perfect length for a 5'4' person with long arms.I am a cancer survivor with harsh scars and cannot wear sleeveless tops because of it. I am also an old lady so I like to keep my bat wings (uneven bat wings, no less! :-) and my midriff spare tire covered and out of sight. This can be difficult in the summer. This little top is perfect for my needs.It is not a warm sweater. It will not keep you warm in the winter or fall. It provides a very nice light cover. I did wear it on a very hot, humid day over a light sleeveless top and was NOT too hot at all. I plan on wearing this even in the winter to my exercise class at the YMCA because the gym is a bit cool but of course I get hot exercising! They are the perfect layering piece to wear over a tank top or sleeveless blouse, to provide a little extra coverage and make your favorite tank tops appropriate to wear out to dinner, kid's school, etc. They also "dress up" a plain tank top and they have just enough length to cover your tush, so you can wear with stretchy pants. They material is thin, very stretchy, and flowy. I would not recommend wearing with short-sleeve tops though, as you will see the "lumps" from the sleeves underneath the thin material. I wear them with sleeveless tops. The dark colors are not see-through. I normally wear a Women's 16-18 and I ordered the XXL, which fits just right, generous fit around the torso, a little tight in the sleeve.
