Really helped my GSD. - First, I would like to say that people who left a bad review because they bought the wrong size or their dog won't let them put them on are doing a disservice to others. I ordered them after my wife suggested for my 10 year old German Shepard. He had a butterfly fracture on his rear leg when he was 1 1/2. After multiple surgeries he was pretty much good but after getting older he pulled a muscle jumping in a patio sofa and had stability problems. At one point he couldn't stand to defecate. We built his strength by going on many short walks a day. He was getting stronger but still was dragging his hind foot and bunny hopping when he ran. When his, we call them 'hocks', came in they were well made and shipped quickly. I put them on and they were very intuitive to apply. He loved them immediately and we saw an improvement almost immediately. I did see a few sores where the velcro contacted the bottom of his heel so I cut the toes out of thin footy socks and put them on upside down under the appliance. I take them off at night and put on in the morning. No more problems with sores. He lays down and stays till I'm done and they have improved his recovery immensely. No more dragging nails or bunny hopping. He does have mysterious muscle spasms when my wife tries to put them on or his tail covers them ;-). All in all they are great! I'm ordering a second pair for his upcoming beach trip so one pair can dry while he wear other. Bottom line: They worked great for our boy and he really does seem to like them. We did not want her good leg to become dislocated so we purchased this brace and she seems to be more mobile and confident with brace on her good leg and the cast from the surgery on the other.
