We are always taught to stay FAR away from these metals. I think to reduce waste mostly and it would decrease the need for jewelers. You simply cannot size or alter the metal. It does not scratch unless you work with a diamond cutter. Moh hardness is extreme. It conducts heat much like gold or silver so it feels like part of your hand right away. I highly recommend this item and this metal if you can maintain a regular weight/finger size.
