It covers basic business bookkeeping, how to read the three most common accounting reports, how financing works, and then explains why the information matters to line managers. I only regret not reading this 15 years ago.

I am a huge fan of the HBR series and this book doesn't let you down. It isn't a definitive work of genius but it is useful and a great refresher for anyone out of school for a while. It also reads easy and does a good job summarizing. Well done
