This provides short circuit/overload protection at each module as close to the battery as possible. Having the fuse block on the battery also makes for a nice heat sink. The block and fuse are very compact and easy to install. Remember to account for a fused connection in your overall wire load/temp/size calculations - there are plenty of online calculators out there to make this calculation for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great When Space is Limited *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2020* The system I am building will be installed in a location where there just is not much space to spread out the components. I have used these fuse blocks in two locations: bolted directly to the positive lithium battery terminal (for a main system fuse) and on the output terminal of the main system switch (for a high amperage branch circuit). I do not recommend attaching directly to a battery terminal if you are not using lithium batteries. Other than space considerations the other reason I use these is because they have an ingress rating of IP66, so they can handle adverse environmental conditions.
