If you need it, you need it and this performs great. I have used it on about 6 zirks and I think the key to this is to be patient. I used pb blaster it seems to work better than wd 40 and let it soak, hitting it a couple times in about a week. It freed them up enough to take grease again. I used a 3lb hammer and really smacked it fairly hard and many many times, using a couple cylinders full of pb. It held up well, I would say to make sure you can get a straight shot on it as with any thing a glancing blow would probably bend it. Edit: My original tool was stolen along with my other tools in Summer 2019 so I ordered this tool again. I am sad to say it is no longer an effective tool as they have changed the design to having a two part cylinder. The oil now just squirts out of the o ring instead of being forced into the zirk. Disappointing to say the least and I am on the hunt for a one piece designed tool. I ordered it new, but what I got was a used one. It was scotched taped in the package rather poorly and had remnants of oil running out of it. I will post later to see how it works.
