Also, using too much cleaner without completely rinsing the carpet of it will cause a sticky residue (soap) to cling to the carpet which also attracts dirt. Clean your carpet with only hot water to remove remaining cleaners that are in the carpet. Initially a deodorizer can strengthen an odor because getting an odor wet can also reactivate it. An enzyme will only work if it reaches the odor completely and is then completely rinsed from the carpet. **Q: When you use this product- do you use it alone in the rug shampooer or add it to another shampooing solution?** A: Great question!
