I like that it's a large roll so that I can cut off what I need. It's pretty fine weaved and has worked well with straining things like yogurt or the solids out of home pressed juice. As a side note, I have learned that it's better for it to air dry instead of in the dryer where it collects lint from the other items or rags and it shrinks a bit, but now that I'm aware I make sure to take it out of the wash before transferring the other items or I just wash them by hand. You can always use a long one in short situations, but not necessarily the other way. Also, this prevents solids sneaking behind a short cheesecloth as they weight it down prior to draining.Straining performance is awesome. I was concerned it'll be too solid (description says 'almost like cloth.), but it was perfect for my uses.Scraping the solids is definitely superior than with a supermarket '50 grade' using a spatula.
