THEN, I saw a video on YouTube of someone testing the strength of these carabiners and the one he tested broke at 39kn. However, I am worried about micro fractures and aluminum’s possibility of snapping when breaking… I guess that’s where “checking your gear” comes into play. Im 6’4” 320lbs. After some friends questioned my judgement, I checked for the carabiner on the UIAA website, neither the product nor the company is listed as certified. I contacted the company through Amazon to ask about this and their response was "Where did you saw the safety label?" Apart from it being improper grammar, it's their product, they should know damn well where it is labeled on the product, and they didnt answer my question about the safety certification.
