It has proven to be very stable unlike wood slat bed frame I had originally had for my boxspring and mattress. It doesn't squeek and make awful noises when moving in bed. I live in a studio apartment and needed to be able to store seasonal items under the bed. The heavy-duty 14" bed frame allows me to use the space under bed for storage. I searched the internet and found this product was the only one that was priced under $150 was sturdy enough to hold a heavy memory foam mattress and give me the storage space I desperately needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was a Steel!! *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2019* My hubby put this together by himself and for once he actually used the instructions. One peice though tripped him up and it was the headboard bar that connects the middle strip. Make sure that that bar is inserted between head board legs. MAKE SURE THAT BAR IS INSERTED BETWEEN HEAD BOARD LEGS. If you attach it backwards, there is no rigging ot going around, you will have to unscrew the bar and turn it around, so do it right the first time. Make sure all screws are TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT, that way no squeaking happens. My experience I have had no squeaking. I was able to put the frame together myself with no tools except the allen-wrench included with the fasteners that come with the frame in about 30 to 45 minutes. The sturdiness of the frame is going to be completely dependent on how well you screw it together. Just make sure the fasteners are snugged with an extra little turn and you should be good.
