However, after about 3 months of being installed inside on 2 tiled steps, the tape lights began to come off the steps and hang in a few areas. I tried to use double side stick tape, but that didn't work. In the end, I had to take down. I will try one more time, as maybe I didn't clean the steps enough, or the detergent perhaps left a film.
