The fabric is smooth and does not upset my SPD sensitivities, which is definitely a win for an affordable blanket. The pattern on it is not stitching but what appears to be laser cut holes. It looks really cool, but I don't know how well it will stand up to washing. There appears to be 3 (thin) layers of fabric: two outside with the laser cut pattern, and one solid between them, so the holes don't go all the way through. I'm not sure what is holding the three layers together as there is no stitching throughout the middle of the blanket, but I can't lift the outside layer away from the inner one. I'll post an update if it doesn't hold up to washing. It's a nice light weight, which is exactly what I wanted, and I like the color a lot. It is not a neutral grey, but a muted lavender.
