I found it hard to adjust just right, it kept slipping. I finally got it lined up and it did take a close up picture. The Monocular is great, but the legs broke off the tripod the very first time they were moved and they were not tugged hard at all. Plus the set up info is very poor and gives only minimal information on set up. Could not get more than a tiny round visual through the camera set up , though with such little info that could be my fault.
