Review: Gasket - Product is as described. It is aftermarket although great copy. Duty cycle or longevity are yet to be seen. Its a very easy installation that took 20 minutes. Didn't run into any issues or having to do any fabrication to make it fit. Exact copy all screws lined up perfect. Note the description stated the gasket wasn't included. In my shipment the gasket was included. Know this you should replace the gasket if you dont the blower may not be able to create enough vacuum to engage the vacuum switches. Those are the assemblies at the end of the rubber tubes. One connected to the blower and the other to the manifold that the blower screws into. Good luck. Remember to power down the furnace before opening the unit.
Review: after extensive research, this was the perfect part for me - exactly what I needed.I have a 10 year old or more GOODMAN home furnace. This season I switched on the furnace to make sure all is well...However all was not well. The draft inducer/that thingy that exits the exhaust up the chimney/ started making a low grinding, whiney sound.Called around the local area and found service calls were eighty bucks or more plus parts! Went online with my original draft inducer part number...that led me to a website that stated "good luck,we have your part in stock" for four hundred eighty dollars!!! took that part number, referenced it several times bouncing from website to website to desertcart! the specs for this part did not match my specs exactly....my 10 year old part was 3amps, this was 2.8amps.after more research found that the rpm's must match/which they did,and the amp issue? lower power consumption!Ordered received part....which came with all the correct wires attached, which are not shown in the picture..shut the power off to the furnace, unplugged power wires, loosened the two 5/16 clamps, removed the four 1/4" screws, unplugged the vacuum line all with in 5 minutes.reinstalled in 6 minutes.tested to make sure system worked and was very surprised how quiet the new draft inducer motor was! and how quickly it was to install! and of course while I was at it I also purchased/installed new flame sensor and ignitor that was suggested to go along with this part!!all fit nicely and perfectly!now I am ready for 10 more seasons of cold weather!very happy, very please and for the price if I need another in a few years I will not hesitate to purchase again!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this come with wires attatched? No wires shown on picture**
A: Yes all the blowers and motors come with the necessary wires. None of the mfgr pics show the wires, I believe they assume most people would understand that, otherwise how would one connect it to anything? Joey has no business ordering any motors based on his answer.

**Q: Is this a good replacement for goodman inducer part 15622? Thanks.**
A: I do not know. My Goodman part number is 223075-01.

**Q: Can anyone confirm if this is equivalent to Goodman part #0171M00000S (or Jakel J238-150-15293)?**
A: this fet my gks9 -FB-RFB501(22307501) was same as Jakel J238-150-152293 witch was on my inducer motor hope this helps out.

**Q: My Fasco J238-150 has the blower facing the other direction, what replacement part can I use?**
A: Hello, Thank you for your question! In order for us to locate your part we will need you to give us the brand name of your equipment along with the complete model and serial numbers off the unit, not the part. (By saying 'Unit' we mean the complete furnace or air conditioner or appliance)Hope to hear back- Thanks and have a great day!Best Regards,SarahNorth America Distribution

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but like any good husband I dismissed her and ignored it
*by P***Y on February 2, 2016*

I don't write a whole lot of reviews, but wanted to take the time out to review this inducer and add another positive vote to the other DIYers that have already reviewed it. My wife noticed the furnace was making an odd noise at startup, but like any good husband I dismissed her and ignored it. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we came home to a pretty cold house one afternoon 3 days before a huge blizzard was forecast for our area. I checked the thermostat and the temp was several degrees below the setpoint. I went down to the furnace and noticed a buzzing noise so I turned the inducer motor by hand and it slowly started turning and making the odd noise my wife had reported. Then it sped up and the furnace started. The inducer felt hard to turn by hand so I pulled the fuses and got out my trusty WD40 and loosened up the shaft with a few well placed squirts. That loosened it up a lot so I figured it had gotten stuck. I blasted it out a bit more and then oiled it and figured the problem was solved. The next morning we woke up to a cold house again so I jump started the furnace with my WD40 and started doing some research. I called an HVAC guy and was quoted $500-$600 for the part plus installation. I did some more research and I figured out that this part was what I needed and with the impending blizzard I ordered it 2 day shipping so I would hopefully have it in hand on Friday when the snow was supposed to start. In the meantime I gave the existing inducer a more thorough cleaning and oiling job. The part arrived as promised on Friday and it went on a shelf in the garage since my last lube job seemed to be working. Yesterday we woke up to a cold house again so I decided that was enough with the WD40 jumpstarts and it was time to switch out the inducer. As others here reported it really is a simple job. I took a couple photos with my phone so I could reference them in case I forgot where something went, but honestly with my furnace it was one hose to the air pressure switch, one white wire, one black wire, one green ground wire, one hose clamp and 4 screws. It might have been 15 minutes including the time it took me to unbox the new one and clean up some of the wiring with zipties that looked sloppy to me from the original install. Threw my fuses back in and watched the furnace start up perfectly. Even with the 2 day shipping I easily saved $400-$500. If you can use a screwdriver then you can perform the install yourself. The wiring is a non-issue since the replacement comes with connectors that just plug right into the same connectors the old inducer was connected to. The hardest part is deciding where to put your beer while you work so you don't accidentally knock it over. Problem solved, back to watching TV.
