The scent isn't very manly, but it isn't very girly either. I can deal with the smell. Goes on smooth and absorbs quickly. I get a tingle which tells me the antiseptic aspect is working, which is important to me because sometimes i get little nicks that turn into pimples later and i'm sure this will help alleviate that problem. My face doesn't feel greasy after putting this on either and the scent is completely gone after awhile.The only thing i don't like about this product is that it's really runny and watery. You've got to control how much comes out of the tube otherwise it'll just spill everywhere. but that's just a minor inconvenience. i'll gladly pick up another bottle when this runs out. For me, a little goes a long way. The only thing that is a little annoying is the viscosity of the lotion. It is runny and too much can easily come out if you don't pay attention. Otherwise it does help sooth my face and neck after shaving, no strong scent and easily absorbed into the skin without a shinny appearance to my face. I first bought it a year ago in a men's barber shop after they put it on my face after a straight razor shave (great experience btw!) The fragrance smelled manly but not overwhelming, felt great on my face and didn't irritate it (I have sensitive skin) The product lasted me for almost a year, so when I was getting low I came on Amazon and found it here for a great price. I made sure that this was the EXACT same product as I had bought before.I had read some other reviews on here commenting on how people didn't like the fragrance which baffled me, until of course I got the product... I don't even know how to describe the smell, maybe waxy? I had a little of my old aftershave left and smelled them side-by-side and it's like 2 different products. The aftershave still feels great on my face but I'll never use it because it smells terrible.
