Review: Don't need a Teavana run for same sweetener - Totally comparable to Teavana's rock crystal sugar -- I couldn't have told the difference in either look or taste. So if you're a fan of Teavana's preferred sweetener but don't want to run to the mall this is a perfect substitute. Thus far I've only used it in tea (you drop the crystals right in with your loose tea leaves -- pre water -- so that the sugar dissolves *while* the tea is steeping, in theory flavoring the tea leaves themselves), but I think it'd be a very good sweetener, with a much richer and more complex flavor profile than even typical brown sugar, in anything hot. (Alas, I'd guess it'd be wasteful to try to sweeten something cold with it -- can't imagine it'd dissolve much.) Review: Disappointed - There is not much of a taste to this sugar.
