It kept the butter in spreadable form without any deterioration in quality. Until my “ butter fingers” dropped the lid…..My initial search for a replacement did not find the Trudeau boat so I ordered a similar one from a different manufacturer, this one which even had a looped handle instead of the button style. But the parts fit poorly and slid around, especially the lid. So I returned it and searched harder for the Trudeau.A bit more expensive but worth every penny!
