I am a nurse since 2013. I had a 2012 book from a different author, but I really liked the Lippincott book and bought it for my computer, mini iPod, and phone. It is nice to look up medications by texting or typing, so the computer looks them up. That way it is convenient. I saw some missing drugs that were not there, but that was ok. I just looked up the other two drugs online. Lippincott is short and to the point. The book broke down drug information short and simplified. I like this one because it is straight and to the point with not so much medical jargon to make it confusing. Having different books are nice because I can look up any differences or similarities each drug book has to offer. I gave it a 4 on the scale because I did not find all the drugs I was looking for except two. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great, to the point, drug reference. *by P***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2014* From a beginning nurse to a seasoned physician, this is the easiest, to the point publication for getting the straight facts on medications. When I started my career as a Nurse Practitioner over 25 years ago, I used the PDR(physician's desk reference) that was given to offices by drug companies. It has become impossible just to find the dose, side effects, drug interactions and uses now. Lippincott has been putting out this product for years. I am working in an office with no direct connection to an online source and even if I did; I would defer to this. It is fast easy and still a reasonable price. I love it. It is 3 times thicker than when I began....which goes to prove that drug interactions are of paramount importance. Remember, the pharmacy at your hospital or the chains in your town are SUPPOSED to check for interactions...Stay with ONE pharmacy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to Use Medication Guide *by N***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2014* Easy to use, easy to understand guide to your medications. What's this med used for? What are the side effects? What medications - prescription or over the counter - should I avoid while taking this medication? How should I use this medication? All this plus more in this guide. While meant for nurses, it can be used by anyone. Much easier to understand than the physician desk reference (PDR) for a non-medical person. Publishes annually; I replace mine every 2-3 years. If you stay reasonably up to date then you get the latest medications and any changes to info on existing meds.
