Is it paraben free?** A: First, I might say this is an excellent emollient, having used it for more than 10 years - my rock-climbing friends swear by it - AND I eat organic food, avoid as many additives as I can, minimize my sun exposure, etc., however I have continued using this product because levels are very low (as in many cosmetics) and I have no evidence of cancer/estrogenic changes, skin lesions and so on. The process is performed after the sheep is sheared so the extraction of lanolin causes no harm to sheep.
