Both uses were with a hot-water crust pastry so far. For cooking they do exactly as expected and work well. The piping kit is a nice addition and the little scrubby brush thing was an unexpected bonus... however that scrubby doesn't tight fit into the cannoli tubes. The tubes are not welded shut but have some give where they overlap. That's actually a bit helpful to remove the pastry... a little squeeze knocks it loose. But when it gets stuck in there it's VERY hard to scrub out because that crack is so tightly fit. Which is nice that they're not flimsy but they're a B* to clean!!! Even worse was that I was scrubbing and trying to get in between and it slipped and took a slice out of the back of my finger that bled and bled. So as a product I got what I ordered and paid for... but I'm not thrilled with them personally.I'll also point out that if you're making a dough and plan to make several of something... this array of different sizes is "cute" but it's hugely impractical to be able to make only two at a time... of whatever size/shape you're choosing.
