Strong young women, age-appropriate challenges. Overall super. We now have all the graphic novel versions for our kids, including our nine year old boy who likes them and our seven year old girl. I don't suggest getting only graphic novels for kids - I think there is something to reading a book with sentences arranged in a traditional way - but nonetheless the Baby-Sitters Club graphic novels are well done and have helped to foster a love of reading and books in our home. It has actually resulted in the kids reading the older versions that I have from when I was little. The kid's liked getting to know about Stacey, that she was from New York (where they have visited), and I thought it was good for them to learn about Stacey's health problems to help them understand that people are different. They were able to relate it to some kids in their school who have health challenges. This one was illustrated by Raina Telgemeier and the kids like her a lot and have some of her other books.
