Updated rating to 5 stars for both a good product and great customer service. Thanks!!-----I use this for my 15" 2019 Macbook Pro at my home workstation. My plan was to have everything connected to the HooToo to dock/undock from my desk. (Power, HDMI to my external monitor, USB for keyboard/mouse, and USB -> Gigabit Ethernet adapter.)The problem arose with my SIIG USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter. When connected to the HooToo, it drops about 50% of the packets on the RX side (but can maintain 970Mb/s on the TX side, weird). It's intermittent but bad enough that it will cause Zoom videoconferences to freeze and ssh terminal sessions to occasionally time out.When I disconnected the SIIG from the HooToo and connected it directly to the Mac (with a basic USB 3 -> USB C OTG cable) I suddenly had 970Mb/s tx & rx with no errors.I reproduced this several times to be sure. The SIIG Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is not reliable when connected via the HooToo, but works fine when connected directly to the Mac. To be sure, I'm not 100% sure where the problem lies, and I haven't tried any other gigabit ethernet adapters on the HooToo (as this is the only one I have handy.) ### ⭐ USB-C Power outlet failed. *by W***0 on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2020* Bought this in last May and have been working ok, but just Feb last month the USB-C power outlet start dysfunctioning w/ frequent stops on the power supply. I have to directly plug in my Macbook Pro power cord to another USB-C port to avoid this issue. Not a big deal no, but it tells me how flimsy the power-management chip inside it's used. Avoid this namebrand as it's using 3-tier foundry suppliers I believe. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for travel with all the ports you need. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2019* Just got a new macbook pro for work, and was not excited about carrying around 742198749821 dongles with me to connect everything. This little hub is great so far. I can charge my laptop, plug in hard drives, a display, sd card, and I still have one more usb-c port on my laptop if I *really* need to plug in an ethernet adapter. It's super lightweight (probably due to the thinner metal casing--gives me some pause about durability), but the cable is thick and seems sturdy. And while it's not shown in the pictures, the bottom is a textured rubber that keeps the hub from sliding around. We'll see how it holds up on my next couple of business trips.
