This probably would work better if not used for a potted plant, but that is what I wanted it for. We needed something to keep potted flowers going while on vacation. First one broke while trying to get it to stand upright. Never did get drip correct. When we got home, one was empty, and the other 2 didn't look like it watered enough. All of them had the drip spout buried in the soft soil. So mixed emotions on this product.
