The fit and quality is amazing. Despite everything I threw at it, it didn't fail. The welding where the handle meets the spade portion is solid and very well done. The handle is securely attached and doesn't come off. The steel quality is great, and it takes a good edge, which is necessary in order to do precision work in excavations.
