My mother was born with Hypothyroid Disease which causes many things to go wrong on her body, chief among those for her being heat sensitivity. The cord was white instead of black, the sponge was smaller and thinner, and the battery door won't close securely. But the fan was adjustable from low to high, where the first one was not - it's just on or off (but I'd keep it on full blast anyway so I don't need it to be adjustable). Both work best on batteries vs the USB cord, the air flow is much stronger with batteries. So it seems they are not all made from the same manufacturer even though they look very much alike. Takes the humidity out of the air in the environment you are in to give the cool down effect. That the cool air you feel blowing if it's frozen no air could pass through plus the the little motor would blow out soon. I just wet the sponge often hope I helped. **Q: Does this have any blades? Could it be used in a stroller?** A: Yes it has blades but they are in a conpartmetn that is not accessable. It was working fine and using the USB but then it stopped working. I really didnt bet much time to use it because it failed. I wanted to contact the seller but too much time had passed by the time I got around to it. I still gave it 3 stars because I may have just gotten a bad unit and that isn't the fault of the seller. I really wish I could replace it but I should have acted sooner.
