The diameter of the bit is 1/8 inch. **Q: Are these compatible with carvewright cnc machines?** A: They are 1/8" diameter shanks and are smooth. There are no flats for a set screw. So if you have a holder for a 1/8" dia smooth shank cutter these will work. I don't have a carvewright so I don't know what kind of collet or holder your machine has. It enables really good stock removal for a relatively low powered unit - provided it is not used with step-overs of 50%.
