The Revell 1/35 Soviet BM-13 Katiusha Stalin Orgel is a precision assembly-required plastic model kit designed for ages 10 and older. This detailed kit requires glue, paint, and modeling tools (not included) to bring the iconic Soviet artillery piece to life, making it a perfect project for both novice and experienced model builders.

## Description

Detailed 1/35 scale assembly model kit of the World War II era Katyusha BM-13, a multiple rocket launcher mounted on the ZIS 151 truck. The vehicle, popularly known as the "Katiusha" or the "Stalinorgel" was equipped with sixteen 132 mm M-13 rockets with a range of 8.5 km. The simple design features racks of parallel rails on which rockets were mounted with a folding frame to raise the rails to launch position. Each truck carry between 14 and 48 launchers that are capable of firing salvos of four 132 mm M-13 rockets in 7-10 seconds, and each salvo of four rockets delivered 4.35 tons of high explosives over a 10 acres impact zone. Although less accurate than conventional artillery guns, the effects on a large enemy position was generally devastating. The Soviet Union produced at least 10,000 of these BM-13 multiple rocket launchers during World War II and used them at great effectiveness on all fronts. This rare 1/35 scale model kit of the BM-13 features 335 parts with exquisite details. Launching platform rotates and the height adjusts. Movable wheels. Inclusive of 3 figures. Steerable front axle. PVC tires. Armor on driver's cab optionally open or closed. 16 M-13 rockets can be positioned separately on launching platform. Authentic decals for 4 versions.
