It covers from the front to the back and both sides all the way down to the bottom of the frame. The material is stretchy and your able to pull and tug it into place without worrying that your ripping out the seams or that the material is going to rip. What I love the most about this slipcover is it stays in place. There is no slipping, no needing to re-adjust on a regular basis. It does not matter how many times your dog gets on or off the sofa, the slipcover stays put. I have not had to wash the cover yet, but I have used a damp cloth to remove muddy foot prints and they cleaned up with ease.
