Junk! Razor should be ashamed.. **Q: does this bike have training wheels?** A: Nope, I am going to get some for my son. He couldn’t ride a regular bike but does much better on this. He won’t put his feet in the pegs, he lets them drag a bit. So training wheels would be a good idea. **Q: What age chikld is this designed for?** A: My kids could ride this about age 8) when we got it and my oldest was 8). I would say being able to ride this bike is as more about being able to maneuver/support the weight while not at a 10+ mph speed vs anything relating to height or etc. I’m a 5’7”, 120# woman and it’s short for my legs but zips me around easily. My husband is 220? The bike was enthusiastic but was able to manage him as well. I would consider the weight of the bike (85# or more?) and consider whether there will be anyone available to help your kiddo get the bike upright if it tips. Maneuvering the bike through a tight space in the garage is a challenge too (size + weight). Staying upright on these dirt bikes is fairly effortless - easier than riding a bicycle. We also have the blue/white version and it also lugs my adult weight just fine, but it is def sized for a little kid. The bikes are just small. Short. They handle weight. They don’t feel like a real dirt bike or bicycle ergonomically. My 2 yo, 65 lb golden can outrun the bikes. Even going downhill where we maybe hit 20-25 mph? It’s just not fair we humans have to be so slow - no wonder we love roller coasters and these little razor bikes. Bahaha. Anywho: if your kid is 8ish - this size will technically work for them. 9? For sure. It depends on your kiddos personality and if they’ll be scared to take off or not. Again: it’s easier than riding a bike. Very heavy. **Q: how tall is the dirt bike** A: My son is 3. It is 15" from the ground to his crotch. He can touch the ground on both sides when standing on his toes. I bought this for my 5 year old last year and he still uses it almost everyday. He is six now and it's still a perfect fit. He learned how to ride this before he learned how to ride a bike.Pros:It's fun! My 5 year old loves it. His friends and cousins love it. Adults love it too. It's a good size for 5-7. Older kids, adults can ride it too though. My 14 year old and her friends use it all the time.It's quiet. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood. He rides it around our neighborhood and It doesn't disturb anyone.It's fast. My 14 year old used a couple of times when she was late to school.There's a learning curve, but it wasn't that long. My son had some falls, a few hard ones while learning how to turn and stop. Without ever learning how to ride a bike, it took him two days to balance on this. It took him a few weeks before he was able to perfect the turns and stopping distance without falling.Good quality parts. My kid has run it through mud, small hills, thick grass, wet grass, tall weeds and it has never failed.Set up was easy. It comes mostly completed. All I had to do was install the handlebars and mudguard. It took less than 15 min.Cons:It's fast. Using my bike, I can keep up with my son but I'm pedaling hard. It definitely takes a responsible kid to use this. I never let my younger kid use it unless I'm supervising.As advertised, it's battery powered. My battery initially lasted about an hour. After 9 months of almost daily use, it lasts about 40 min.
