Do they sound good or tinny?** A: They sound like steel alloy clinking and clanking together. They do not sound like silver coins and unfortunately they tend to rust over time and use and also make your fingers stink. ☹️ But they are an alternative if you can't afford real silver Morgan Dollar coins. Basically you get what you pay for. **Q: Can you make them look tarnished? I am using them for a magic trick.** A: There are 2 ways I can think of. The simple one is black shoe polish, but it takes some effort to buff it without removing all of it. Use a cotton cloth, like t-shirt material. It's temporary and you want to protect them right up to the act. Another way would be to use spray paint. Clean the coins with acetone and make sure they are not cold, warm is better, but not hot. Then spray a very thin layer of silver/aluminum paint and let it dry completely. Then apply a very thin layer of clear and let it dry completely. After that use a light misting of flat black and let it dry completely. Then use white tooth paste to wear away the black layer until it looks realistic. For some it's better to start with the black, then the silver, then wear it down to the desired level, clean with water, dry and clear coat. It takes practice, but the acetone dissolves the paint for starting over.
