It’s a very pretty mug, well made mug…but, not quite what I expected.The design on the mug was very close to the one in the listing, but the finish and thickness surprised me a little. I wanted a mug with a “natural” look. The design made me think of earth, trees, mountains, and sky. Going along these lines, I had wanted a more “natural” glaze finish, much like that in the listing. The finish on my mug was very shiny. It’s not as large as I had thought, either. Who knew they could be found on Amazon? These are perfect (14 oz. to the brim)! And, they are stunningly beautiful!!! I love the uniqueness of the pattern. They are "sisters," but not "twins." The glaze is different on each mug and has a gorgeous luster with fine crackling, which can be seen in sunlight, on the bottom portion of the outside of the mug. I really enjoy drinking my morning cup of java. The mugs are heavy, which I imagine makes them more durable. My only criticism, a small one, is that I would find the handle more comfortable if it were placed higher on the mug. There is no doubt that Bruce Larrabee knows how to throw pottery! I am crazy about these! I highly recommend them.
