What prep is needed because of that, prob will trade within a couple year** A: Yes covered up that junk Chevy bed rust. Mine was really bad. Just cleaned up and sanded down rust areas and put a couple coats of spray paint on it to slow it down a bit. To cover up the cosmetic damage I bought these specific fender flares and it covered the rust damage better than I had expected them to, it's like the rusting on the wheels wells never occurred. The only thing I need now are tire spacers, but other than that my truck looks great. These would VERY easy to put on myself as well. It didn't take longer than a half hour from start to finish. Great for the price too.
