There are ten STARTER trees. They are approximately 10 inches tall in 32 cell liners. The picture is of a mature tree. That is what the starter trees will look like in about 10 years. **Q: could you tell me how tall trees are when I buy it ?** A: they are about 6-8 inches tall **Q: Its early Jan , if i wait to plant the tree until early March how should i preserve them?** A: Best place to keep them in a cool garage but if you dont have one keep in side and treat the like a house plant. Water just a little about 2-3 times a week or as needed. Keep soil a little moist but DO NOT over water. They were received in good healthy condition. They all seem to have made it through the north Missouri winter and are turning green again so the durability seems good. Their size has more than doubled in the last year. Biggest advice I can give is to keep them watered. I set up a 5 gallon bucket i drilled a small hole in at the bottom next to each tree that I would fill 2-3 times per week if there was no rain. I also fertilized a couple times through the summer. They are a good value for the money.
