Seems to work well on plastic fittings and helping caps and lids slide on nicely as well. Some information from the can: "Non-toxic, clean, and clear." "Will not harm rubber, plastic, leather, wood, or paint." It has replaced Lubriplate for me, although Lubriplate served me very well for many, many years. You might look up "303 Protectant" on the web. It works well on plastics, among other things. Many RV'er's use it to keep their fibreglass vehicle bodies fresh. I've used it for years on the weatherstripping, tires, and dash, bumpers, and other plastics on my automobiles.
