It's basically got more control, and it absorbs an appreciable amount of energy from the ball, which makes friendly volleys easier to pull off for us amateurs. A two pack for $35 is a bargain. Most of these rackets cost $20 each. This is not the ideal racket for beginners, but amateurs and good players will really enjoy the sponge and rubber. The balls are very high quality and have a tremendous amount of bounce. Only down side is the handle. It is just a little small, your hands get used to it though.
