Review: 8 yr old girl of average height/weight loves this chair - My 8 year old got this for her birthday and loves it. It is perfect for her and her 1 year old brother likes to snuggle in it also, stealing it from her and dragging it to where he wants to sit. Notes: 1) This chair is a bean bag chair in every way, it may looks like it is more "constructed" I guess you could say, but it is not really. The fabric is sewn into an armchair shape but the beans don't hold it in that shape long if you wiggle too much, basically it it just a fancy bean bag. I figured this and was fine with that going in but it is worth mentioning. 2) The woman in the picture is either 4'4" or has been shrunken via photoshop, making the chair seem larger than it is. It really is only about the same size as a typical old bean bag chair. It really isn't tiny or anything but don't expect a high school football player to be comfy in this for too long. Had I not seen them in person prior to buying here I might have passed on it as it does look like it will take up more room than it does.

A: Hi Crawford, you ask an excellent question concerning the Big Joe Dorm & Roma Chair.  The major difference between the two bean bag chairs is appearance.  The Dorm looks more like a traditional chair with arm rests and the Roma does not.  The Roma looks more like a basic bean bag chair. Not only are the bean bag chairs sizable (I have a teen, preteen, and toddler) and thee kids love them. They had an awesome idea to break down theor boxes into castle and houses. Not only do we get comfort but we got fun! Great idea to reuse the boxes! My kids are happy so this mom is happy!
