Players have a hand of cards which they play to advance. Cards need to match the terrain the model is currently on, except you get one wildcard each turn. The overall mechanic is quite simple, but each player has four abilities they can play once in each half if the game and this is where the tactical play comes in. Players can't opt to play Dick Dastardly. He's a game mechanism. He starts at the back of the pack races forward and lays traps. Winner is first one to cross the line (obviously) We typically finish a two or three player game in under half an hour. The basic game is quite fun, but maybe a little simple.
