Make sure you are comfortable with the internal dimensions which are very different than the external. This is hand made, with a couple of minor flaws that don't detract but show someone actually made this thing. It seems to clean OK but certainly get a grid for the bottom. 16 gauge seems to be thick enough with a sound deadening pad beneath. The rack which fits in the bottom is a necessary piece as it keeps the stain-causing items off the sink floor. It's a beautiful sink.
