This strongly suggested a slow but minor leak - the loss of cool air within a much shorter period (10-14 days) means something more serious is the cause and will most likely mean a professional repai i.e. expensive!Following advice from an a/c professional (who I'd have used if they weren't over 100 miles away) I tried Errecom Exteme Ultra which is designed to seal minor leaks in a/c lines or hardware (seals etc.).'Ultra' is simply the concentrated form of their 'Extreme' product otherwise it's the same thing.A couple of reviewers mention the plunger in the syringe being pushed out under pressure with a corresponding loss of the product. This happened to me but it can be prevented:- Locate the low pressure valve on the a/c system - this will be the valve on the larger diameter pipe (the thinner diameter pipe is the high pressure line - don't use this one!). A search online will help identify the correct port for your vehicle.- Make sure the engine is running and the a/c is on **do not try to attached the adapter without the engine running and a/c active as this will result in a loss of refrigerant when you attach it. With the engine and a/c running the most you will experience is a tiny hiss**-First attach the adapter on it's own i.e. before the syringe is attached. If access to the low pressure valve is awkward attach the flexi adapter beforehand and then attach the adapter unit with flexi hose to the valve.-The adapter has a collar which is pushed down to lock it onto the valve - make sure the collar is uppermost on the adapter so it can be pushed downwards to seat it on the valve.- Once the collar is pushed down it will hold the adapter to the valve firmly but it can be pulled off if you tug hard enough so don't think it hasn't seated correctly if you can pull it off.-Remove the plastic plug from the end of the syringe and carefully screw the syringe onto the adapter (or end of the flexi adapter if using that) WHILST KEEPING YOUR FINGER ON TOP OF PLUNGER**this will stop the small amount of pressure generated by the system from ejecting the plunger and the product!-SLOWLY inject the Extreme Ultra into the system stopping every now and then to allow the system suction to draw the product into the system - three to four steps should do the trick.- KEEP A FINGER OVER THE PLUNGER throughout to make sure the system pressure doesn't eject it and you should be fine.It's been over a month and my a/c remains cold and chilly so the acid test is if this lasts through summer (2022) and if it's possible I will update this review to confirm (or not) if Extreme Ultra works as claimed but the signs are very good at present. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked for me, very happy *by B***. on 14 February 2024* I had a slow leak in my old car's AC system. I gave this a try, having nothing to lose. It seems to have successfully plugged the leak or at least slowed down the leak considerably. Now I can enjoy cold AC for months on, so that's definitely good enough.
