Review: Beautiful Color and Great Coverage - I really love this hair color. It was easy to apply, covered my hair evenly, and left it looking soft and shiny. The color is vibrant, long-lasting, and exactly what I expected. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to others. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: Safe for Pre-Lightened Hair !! - This review is long, but if you're truly interested in this color and worried about how it may take to treated hair (which I was, I had to hunt for a review on hair that was already bleached before and it was still much darker than mine) then I promise it's worth it!! A briefer review for people who do not care: good product, I found it easy to use (I put all of the steps into a bowl and used a mix of both a brush and my hands), it is messy!! I thought that was just some people being unprepared for how messy hair dye is, but it is a very thin formula that can splatter so easily. There are warnings on the top of the box when you open it to make sure you get all of the product out from each thing, and I did exactly that, so the end result (it was on for a bit longer than 25 minutes, maybe 45 at the most) is the two reds. One is wet, one is dry. I can't say anything about how long it lasts, because I don't really mind having to touch up that much, but do put a towel over your pillow for the first couple days after dyeing. Okay, so I've been bleaching and coloring my own hair at home (with help when needed) for about two years now, and I don't really use box dyes because I love the bright colors of Manic Panic dyes. I tried them for one color and it became my go-to. I've wanted to go to a dark red for a good while, but Manic Panic doesn't have any colors like that that I thought were close to what I wanted. If your end color goal is Lee Chaeryeong from ITZY (when she had red hair), stick with me because that was my goal, and I actually feel pretty happy with the result. My biggest concern when looking for a dye was the fact that box dye is kind of meant to be visible over dark hair. I have light hair, and I didn't want it to be super bright when that wasn't what my goal was. I'm literally ONLY leaving this review because of the fact that I couldn't find ANY that were over pre-treated hair! I found one YouTube review and I decided that that was my sign, so over two days I got the pink out of my hair and dyed it. If you're just looking to see if it'll work over bleached hair, it works perfectly fine (I'm pretty sure, my starting hair wasn't exactly blonde but it was light enough that I am so, so sure it'll work fine), but I did accidentally leave it on for a little more than the instructions say to! Okay, if you're still reading this (honestly I know nobody is but I do not care) and have a bright color you're changing from, this is what I'm here for. So I started with that bright pink in the picture where my face is halfway in frame, and then I tried some at-home color removal tricks to see if they would help; they didn't, so I resorted to shampooing two, maybe three times for long periods and rinsed with hot water. That's where you get to the pictures where I'm holding up the front and then showing the back- not good pictures, but you get the idea. The pink was clinging to the front pieces of my hair, but it had rinsed fine everywhere else, so the last stage of getting my hair prepped to have a dark (and not pinky) red was to use toner on my whole head. I actually don't remember what level of the Wella toner I used, but I think it was either a) exactly the one that people recommend online for blonde, or b) something really close. I left that on for the correct amount of time and rinsed with some still-pink and mostly kind of purple and grey toned hair, which was good enough for me because I just wanted no yellow undertones if possible. That picture is the one where my hair is almost purple and silver. The next two are the results, the wet hair is right after I finished getting the dye out of my hair and the dry one is right after waking up. I KNOW that that was a LOT, but I really need a lot of guidance myself, so if I can kind of help anyone else like that I'd like to try. OK bye

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I use this dye if I previously used dark color hair dyes? Will it still work to lighten the dark color?**
A: It’s not recommended for dark hair but I lightened my hair with peroxide and baking soda for an hour with a towel around my hair and in the places where it lightened it up , it was that colored maybe a little darker , but I kept using that color and each time it’s lighter and now it’s completely that color

**Q: Why didnt it color my hair barely at all but still succeeded in ruining it completely to the point where i want to die intead of being seen by others?**
A: I have been using this product - Féria Midnight Violet (V28) - regularly for years. My only complaint is that it doesn’t last as long as a permanent hair color should. But as far as damaging my hair, this has never done that with mine. It leaves my hair bouncy, shiny and healthier looking than before, as most home hair colors should and do. And this in spite of the fact that my hair is very dry with ends that can be brittle.
I’ve used many brands over the years and this is one of the gentlest. Home hair colors tend to be gentler than those used in salons. But, everyone’s hair is different. It could be a reaction from the chemicals in this particular brand and shade with your unique hair. If you are sure nothing else could have caused the damage to your hair and you followed directions carefully my advice would be to avoid using it again.
For best results with any home hair color:
First, wash and deep condition your hair a couple of days prior to coloring.
Never wash your hair the day of coloring. I always wait at least 2 days after washing before I color. The natural oils from your scalp protect and even help the color deeply and more evenly saturate your hair.
After coloring wash your hair only in cool to lukewarm water. Don’t use hot water!
Also, I’ve found after using the same color for awhile it doesn’t work as well as it did at first. It helps to periodically change up, use a different brand and even color.
Any apparent damage to your hair (short of it falling out) is temporary. Human hair is very resilient and will quickly return to a healthy condition. Use a deep conditioner on your hair to help speed that along.
And for you, having had my hair damaged by harsh salon products, I understand how upsetting it can be. But this should never have been so traumatizing as to leave you wanting to isolate yourself or die. I see it’s been quite awhile but I believe there may have been some other issue underlying this to cause such distress. You could use some perspective to get insight into what’s really going on. Perhaps counseling could be of help, either clinical or spiritual. Best of luck to you, take care :)

**Q: does this help cover grey?**
A: It covers grey only in that it makes it a lighter (sometimes white) blonde - can be useful if you'd like the 'streaked' look

**Q: I love feria, however, as i have aged coloring my hair is more difficult, white roots.when i start to see white & use this, do you think it will work?**
A: I used Féria for over a decade when I had a lot of grey throughout the dark brown hair on the top and sides of my head. It worked well until it didn’t. Only the back of my head has my natural color still color, and the rest is almost entirely grey. I used a medium auburn color, and I loved it, but noticed it was going orange really fast where I had so much grey. I hate that brassy look, so I tried a darker tone, but it didn’t work. I tried other lines of L’Oréal and other brands, but grey hair doesn’t hold the red color well. I tried going brown, but ended up just going with 2 lightest shades of L’Oréal blonde now. I have spider web thin strands of hair and other brands just destroyed it. L’Oréal is kindest to my hair with color I love. I did have to use a strong color remover twice to get rid of the remaining red dye in my hair when I gave up and went blonde.
I still really miss my auburn color!
