It much better than the cheap Walmart helmet I bought awhile ago. I feel it'll protect my head in the event of a crash on the trails. There is only one downside to this helmet and that is the headliner. The two layers separated exposing the foam but after using some Gorilla glue (for fabrics) it took care of that problem.
