A: Pure Encapsulations CholestePure contains plant sterols sourced from the US.  The vegetarian capsule and hypoallergenic plant fiber are sourced from the US, and the ascorbyl palmitate is sourced from China.  As with all raw materials, each batch of ingredients received by Pure Encapsulations is tested upon reception for identity, potency (if applicable) and contaminants, which can include heavy metals, residual solvents, allergens, pesticide residues and others depending on ingredient and level of risk.

**Q: Are these usual size capsules, easy to swallow, nothing larger than usual? Thank you.**
A: Yes, these are regular sized capsules. Not too big, not too small, easy to swallow.

**Q: Is this product, Cholestepure, Salicylate-Free?**
A: CholestePure contains plant sterols.  All plants produce some level of salicylates, since they are spin-offs of polyphenol biosynthesis, which occurs in nearly all plants. The exact concentrations of salicylates have not been quantified for most plants species, let alone their medicinal preparations.  Some plants will certainly have a higher content than others.  Considering the ubiquitous distribution of salicylates among dietary and medicinal plants, there is a theoretical presence of these compounds in all of our herbal ingredients.   Pure Encapsulations does not test for salicylates.

**Q: Do you have any reviews of blood tests after use of product.**
A: I have used this along with red yeast rice and my total cholesterol went from 250 to 209. I am very happy with this combo.
