I use an eye-mask, ear plugs, blue light blocker glasses before bed, etc. The bedtime rituals suck. I used to have a different white noise generator that played a more consistent noise that my hyper awareness picked up on and found it to be distracting. This one uses randomized sound that doesn't allow for pattern recognition.Very customizable with the right sound and volume that works for you. I have been able to rely on it both at home and while traveling with surprisingly good results. Usually on the road I get terrible sleep because it is a foreign environment and I am more hyper aware than even at home. I found this to help drown out that background anxiety as well. It's great when you're sleeping because it allows you to choose from 10 fan sounds and 10 white noise sounds for a total of 20 possible sounds. The volume is easily adjustable, but once you find the perfect settings you will probably just leave it. After I found the ideal fan sound and the ideal volume level, I only use the on/off button now. I love using this in the winter when it's too cold to run a fan in the room.
