All other companies said I could only have 1GB RAM to my PC due to Operating system, motherboard, and chipset restrictions. It is currently running Windows XP 32bit, not the 64bit. I figured I would take a shot and buy the 2GB of RAM, and if nothing else, the PC wouldn't recognize or use the extra memory. I received the memory and it was a cinch to replace. I checked the bios prior to, and after replacement to confirm PC recognition. The PC recognized the memory right away, and my speed is so much better, especially for viewing chat or streaming video. I could have possibly purchased the 333mhz instead of the 266mhz memory, but it's all good. I am pleased with the product nonetheless, and don't want to hassle a return to get the 333hz. I plan on this to be a PC for my son for school work and Facebook.. Forty dollars was an inexpensive repair for an old PC that still runs fine.. I would recommend this upgrade for anyone with an older PC running Windows XP.
