I saw the mixed reviews but there were reviews from people who make jewelry who liked it and as I wanted it for jewelry I thought I'd give it a try. Guess that was a mistake. I wanted it for drilling holes in silver clay after it had been fired so while it's harder then when it's prefired dry stage it's still softer then many metals. It failed at this. I'm not sure if the motor is just not powerful enough or all the drill bits that come with are just dull but since it stops spinning if I put any sort of pressure needed to actually drill a hole I suspect it just does not have the power to do its job. Usually I put my holes in while the clay is still soft but did not do that this time as I was experimenting figuring I could just add holes later. I also travel extensively for work so don't have room for a bulky kit and equipment and wanted something small that would not take up much space and get the job done. Sadly this was not it. Also no instructions, user manual or content list. There was one little descriptor card that came with it but not in English. This is $24 dollars I will never get back.
