If you are a side sleeper, like me, it won't be good for you. The description says it is 7" thick. I measured it and it is only 5" thick. Because it is very squishy, it collapses down to about 1" when my head is on it, so it doesn't support my head enough at all. The cover is nice and soft and while there is a slight smell often associated with these kinds of pillows, it isn't too bad.
