Can't get this style to connect. *by M***I on October 9, 2019* UPDATE: I moved my review up to 4 stars after trying - once again - to get these plugs to work before returning them. My other plugs from this company work so well, it was a personal mission to figure these out! Turns out, I had to update the app. Then, make sure the light is flashing fast Auto detect worked brillantly! I gave 4 stars just because of the frustration I experienced before I thought to try updating the app. I have bought several single wifi plugs (not the mini), 3 plug smart plugs, and 4 plug smart power strips from this company. I was able to get them setup and connected thru my Alexa fairly easily. These mini wifi plugs I cannot setup. I think it is because I have 5g wifi - not 2.4g - and I can't work around this to connect the plugs thru the app. I had an issue with the 3 plug device and the company reached out to me after I left a sad review. I then managed to get the plug to work as I wanted, upgraded my review, and did not return the plug. Perhaps the same can happen.
