The leather is thick, well cut and well stitched as well. The leather color matches the photo and the buckle is also of high quality. I bought the CTM® MENS ELASTIC BRAIDED STRETCH BELT WITH SILVER BUCKLE AND TAN TABS in the navy color - it is lovely & matches the photo as well. My wast size in jeans is 33 to 34, but I bought the Small 30-32 based on the comments. I put a slight stretch on it so the fit is perfect and the tip hangs out the right length. The cost is so low that one can afford several for different color outfits.The quality is good enough for the finest men's store and I am well pleased. I especially like the "hole-less feature of the belt, which works well each time and never leaves a mark after about 2 months. I imagine if you take care to only stretch the belt slightly to fit it will last a long time and hold it's shape well. All in all I'm quite pleased with my Amazon purchasing experience, and the belt itself. He runs both a farm and a construction company, so he is always soaked with mud, or sweat, or god knows what else. He has always had a preference for leather healths, but inevitably, they never stand up to the wear and tear that is his life for more than 6-12 months. When his last, very expensive leather belt broke, I decided that I wanted to buy him a synthetic fiber belt. I came to the CTM belt because it was relatively cheap and fit the description of the type of belt I was looking for. Great choice on my end! Two months into it, and this baby is indestructible. A plus side I had not considered was the comfort level; my fiancé has a hernia, and the elastic in the belt moves with his body as opposed to digging into his sensitive abdomen. I asked him yesterday how he liked it, his reply: "The best belt i have ever owned".
