Unless you are gripping a twig, go for the standard size grip and not the ladies size. I had cut down the shaft of a standard club about 6 - 8 inches so that the club would better fit my young son. I assumed this grip would work well a a replacement since the shaft gets smaller as you cut it down. The diameter of this grip is so small I couldn't use conventional methods to grip the club and literally had to use grease to get it on the club shaft. It's so tight on the club that there's no way it will come off even applied with grease. Do yourself a favor and either measure your shaft ahead of time or get the standard size. The grip itself is just fine once you get it on the club. Nice and tacky like most rubber grips. ### ⭐⭐ Small, Ultra-light, Tough Install..but Decent Grip *by V***N on July 3, 2015* I am used to having the grip butt diameter molded inside the edge of the grip, that being 580 or 600 for mens clubs. This grip has 480 or something like that, molded in. It is a very very tight fit with 1 to 3 wraps of tape. You will probably have to use lacquer thinner to install these grips. And it will be some work to push them on...you must be quick and persistent to effect a proper install. They are EXTREMELY light, which can throw off your swing weight. All that being said, the darn things feel real good when installed, and they have performed very well. For .99 a grip, these are a good value IF you are adept at regripping golf clubs. The club must be extremely well secured in a vise to install. ### ⭐⭐ Too small for ladies clubs *by J***C on January 17, 2012* I have replaced dozens of grips over the years switching out mine every 2-3 years. I bought these for my girlfriends clubs and simply could not get the first one on. I was trying an iron which is smaller than a wood and still couldn't even get it started. By the time I was able to stretch out the end enough I then couldn't slide it all the way on. I had to cut it off and ruin it. It's just too small for the clubs. It's like they are meant for juniors shafts or some kind of more narrow shaft that I am unfamiliar with.I then went down to Golfsmith to buy some other grips and noticed that the opening for these grips are about one third smaller than the other ladies grips. Again, for some other kind of shaft? I asked the expert club builder and he said that he had worked with these grips before and it was "possible" to put them on but very difficult.
