Superb product considering this is a economy bicycle trainer. Background: I have used Minoura trainers in the past and Minoura is the only thing I can compare this trainer against. This is not a Minoura, nor is it priced like one. I used to cycle and compete in races. I have been off the bike for a 5+ years and have been interested in getting my cardio back up, using a trainer as at-home gym system. Noise: I was a little hesitant about this product, knowing how much noise a trainer can put out! I was pleasantly surprised with this model though. I use mine on a carpeted floor, so I can't comment on frame vibration, but for the most part this trainer is quiet - the noise put out by the bike's chain drive is louder than the trainer. Noise levels increase at position 1 a little bit, but the noise seems to subside as the trainer heats up with use. Considering this is an economy model, I am pleased with sound output. I can watch netflix on my computer while on the bike, but I find it easier to enjoy with subtitles on due to noise. Not much louder than my Minoura from the past. Build: The skewer provided with the trainer makes any bike compatible with the unit and allows for better lock in. The threads of the lock in mechanism are rough, so there is a little wobble when all locked down. Nothing I am concerned about. I have used the trainer now for ~10-15 hours in 30-50 minute workout sessions. No issues so far! Ease of setup: No instructions. Simple design, so you shouldn't need them. No tools needed for assembly. Overall: As a 150lbs ex-cyclist, this has been a great way for me to start getting back into shape. An at-home cardio system that allows you to watch netflix while you workout; it's a great inexpensive workout! After about 25 half hour workouts I am only pushing resistance level 2-4. This is with my regular road riding gearing allowing me to achieve 28km/h @ 110 rpm cadence. If you're a 300lbs athlete, resistance might feel a little light for you. If you've never cycled before, resistance level 1 may seem pretty high.
